From a young boy in Nigeria to a business owner in Bern, he built more than a barbershop, he built a legacy.
Fineboy’s story began in Benin City, Nigeria, with the courage to chase a new future. At seventeen he left home with 150 dollars and no clear plan, only the belief that he could build something through hard work. He took a bus heading north, crossing countries until he reached Senegal by chance. There, facing life on his own, he learned how to cut hair as a way to earn money. What started as survival soon became a skill that gave him purpose.
After spending years in Senegal he made his way to Cape Verde, where he continued cutting hair and saving for the next step. When the time came, he took a dangerous boat trip to Spain and later travelled on to Switzerland. Starting over again, he worked tirelessly to turn his experience into something lasting.
From those first street haircuts to owning one of Bern’s most respected barbershops, his story reflects determination, faith and skill. More than twenty years later Fineboy continues to prove that resilience and vision can turn even the hardest beginnings into success.

The name began as a moment among friends in Switzerland. One evening while hanging out in a park Fineboy and his friends noticed a group of women dressed to go out. A friend tried to talk to them but came back saying they were not interested.
Confidently Fineboy decided to try himself. After a short talk he convinced them all to join for a night out. From that day his friends started calling him Fineboy. A name that stayed, grew with him and became part of his story.
